SANTA ANA, CA- Continuing to showcase his commitment to the immigrants' rights movement and passing comprehensive immigration reform, today former State Senator Lou Correa earned the endorsement of the Californians for Humane Immigrant Rights Leadership Action Fund (CHIRLA Action Fund) in his campaign for California's 46th Congressional District.

Throughout the past three decades, CHIRLA Action Fund has empowered immigrants and their allies to build a more just and civil society through advocacy, coalition building, and promoting multi-ethnic relations.  In a letter sent to Correa's campaign for Congress, Angelica Salas Board Chair of CHIRLA Action Fund, wrote:

SANTA ANA, CA— Solidifying more public safety support in his campaign for California’s 46th Congressional District seat, today former State Senator Lou Correa collected an endorsement from the Garden Grove Firefighters.
 
In announcing their support, Steve Fellner of the Garden Grove Firefighters, stated, “Garden Grove Firefighters are proud to endorse Lou Correa in his bid for Congress.”
Upon learning of the endorsement, former State Senator Lou Correa released the following statement:

SANTA ANA, CA— Consolidating more public safety support, today former State Senator Lou Correa received an important validating endorsement from the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association Local 3631 in his campaign for California’s 46th Congressional District seat.

In a letter sent to Correa for Congress, Scott Sanzaro, Director of Government Affairs OC Firefighters, IAFF Local 3631 wrote:

SANTA ANA, CA— On the heels of earning a sought-after endorsement from the Pastor of the largest African American church in Orange County, the Rev. Mark E. Whitlock, Jr., today former State Senator Lou Correa secured a coveted endorsement from U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu.
 
A trailblazer and prominent member of California’s House delegation, Congresswoman Judy Chu, who is also known for her progressive credentials and work on immigration issues, announced her endorsement of Correa by releasing the following statement:

SANTA ANA, CA— Following news that the Santa Ana School Police Officers' Association was backing his campaign last week, today former State Senator Lou Correa earned another sought after public safety endorsement, this coming from the Santa Ana Police Officers’ Association.
